How to enter the Competition

01.

Read through the Conservation Kraal Challenge Competition Guide.

The Competition Guide outlines all the necessary details and rules on the competition entry requirements and submission process, competition framework, design criteria and judging process.

Be sure to read this carefully before preparing your entry.

Prepare your entry.

Download the Entry Questions to prepare your answers offline and get designing.

Complete the form off line.

03.

SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY THROUGH THE ENTRY PORTAL

Entries can be submitted between 1 February and 30 June 2024, either as individuals or as a team of up to five people. All participants must be South African citizens or permanent residents of 18 years or older.
Create a profile for your individual or team entry, accept the Terms and Conditions, answer the Entry Questions and upload your design. Save your progress along the way, then hit “Submit” once you’re happy that you’ve completed all the steps.

Winners will be announced 10 August 2024

The panel of judges will evaluate all entries.

Competition Rules

Below are some of the main Competition Rules to take note of, but please ensure you download, read and understand the full Terms & Conditions on this page.  Acceptance of the Terms & Conditions is mandatory when submitting your entry through the Entry Portal.

ENTER THE COMPETITION

  1. The competition opens for entries at 9h00 on 1 February 2024, and closes for entries at 23h59 on 30 June 2024.
  2. The competition is free to enter.
  3. Designs submitted for entry must be original, and may not infringe on existing design copyrights, intellectual property rights or patents.
  4. All participants must be 18 year or older at the time of entry.
  5. The competition is only open to people who are resident in South Africa, and prize winners may be asked to provide necessary supporting documentation.
  6. Participants may enter as individuals or as teams or no more than 5 people.
  7. Participants may not be part of more than one team or individual competition entry.
  8. The competition is not open to Cape Leopard Trust employees, competition judges, or the immediate families of any of the aforementioned parties.
  9. The winning design will receive a cash prize of up to R50 000 and a one-week trip to the Western Cape (including local travel and accommodation allowance) to grant the winning individual or team members the opportunity to join the journey from concept to creation as a consultant. The winning design will be tested in field, the cost of which will be subsidised by the CLT.
  10. The competition’s judges’ decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Judges are not to be contacted about the progress or judging of the competition during the competition period.
